Where it all started

So it was about a year ago (Feb 2009) when I was sitting in Hal's Restaurant in Venice, CA with my acting family from the Richard Lawson Studios. All of a sudden I had a vision of a scene opening that involved a murder. It was so clear and vivid that I had to write it down on my napkin. It was dark, mysterious and sexy. I knew I had to do something with it.

Ever since I got hooked on to the web series Sam Has 7 Friends, I knew that web content was going to go up from here. So the research began on successful web series, even some unsuccessful ones. Just to find out what works and what didn't.

After a year of challenges and moments of feeling I wasn't truly a writer and thinking that my idea had already been done, but still wanting to do it deep in my heart, I'm pushing forward to make it happen and get it done.

So combining my love of many different shows and types of shows and stories that I've liked, my stories are coming together in the form of its first season. After going through several name ideas I've finally settled down on titling it Nut City. Trust me, once you see it and get to know these characters, you'll find the title appropriate.

I've got the bible finished and have had 3 different readings with talented professional actors and have gotten great feedback, which tells me that my story is getting across and people are liking it.

Just finished episode 10 of 30. And already working on the trailer and marketing materials and working talented actors who are interested in being a part.

More updates to come, but the moral of the story is -- Get out there and do the damn thing.

xoxo
